Tips for the morning yogi – or those who are aspiring to become one

Get out of bed as soon as the alarm goes off…

Depending on how long you want to do yoga, set the alarm clock an hour or a half hour earlier than usual. Overcome the temptation to sleep longer by getting up straight away. Later you will feel proud of yourself and thankful for the time spent in a worthwhile pursuit.

... and set the mood the evening before 

Here are few tips to help ensure success. A day of yoga already starts the evening before. Don’t eat heavy meals in the evening. Take in positive impressions before going to bed. Go to bed on time. Before you start your practice in the morning, drink a glass of warm water, brush your teeth and clean your tongue. To help you breathe more deeply and freely, clear the nasal passages with Jala Neti (nasal cleansing with warm salt water).
