Phone call to Monal Resort in Rudraprayag on 6 July 2013
- Monal Resort is fully functional, the gardens are blooming.
- Indian TV reports that tourists are not allowed to travel beyond Rishikesh. This is true for pilgrims wanting to go to Kedarnath, Badrinath and Gangotri. There is no such limitation to reach Rudraprayag.
- Presently the National Highway between Rishikesh and Rudraprayag is under major repair in 6 places. It is a main military supply road and the road work is expected to be completed by the beginning of September 2013.
- Until then the road access from Delhi is via Nainital.

Dear Swami ji
We thank you for your concern, much appreciated !
Monal Resort and we are all OK !
The damage in our district is more than 80 km higher up.
Monal Resort is on National Highway 58, which is a border road (and therefore of great national importance).
We hope it to be fully operational by the end of the rainy season, latest by the first week of September.
Every year there are damages to the main national highway in our parts due to sedimentary rocks and excessive work (cutting of road) done in a very short time.
Monal Resort is looking forward to welcome all of the esteemed participants of the Sivananda Yoga Teachers' Training Course and of the Sivananda Sadhana Intensive Course.
