Yoga voluntary service
The best opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in the teachers’ training courses and dive deeper into the yogic experience is to do volunteer work in a Sivananda Centre or Ashram. The minimum period is 3 months. Please enquire about training fees. For more information >>
Affiliation
After several years of teaching practice and further training in the Sivananda Yoga Centres, you have the opportunity to found your own Sivananda Yoga Affiliated Centre. A high degree of selfless, personal commitment is required to qualify for affiliation. Inquire for more information during the teachers’ training course.
Use of Swami Sivananda’s name
Swami Vishnudevananda anticipated that the commercial spirit of the West would have an impact on the teaching of yoga there. To prevent the name of Swami Sivananda and the teaching programme Swami Vishnudevananda developed called ‘Sivananda Yoga’ from being misused for commercial purposes, the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres registered the name ‘Sivananda’ as a trademark in 1996 (Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market, reg. no. 000194720).
